Lake Mead is a reservoir located in the States of Arizona and Nevada. The lake is formed by the Hoover Dam and water from the Colorado River. Lake Mead is the largest reservoir in the United States covering over one and a half million acres. There are 9 main access points to the Lake Mead National Recreation Area. The official Lake Mead Visitor Center is located off of U.S. 93 approximately 4 miles southeast of Boulder City. The visitor center is open from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM each day except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Day.

Visitors to Lake Mead enjoy a wide variety of water sports opportunities. Although visitors to the lake often bring their own water sports equipment there are rentals available across the marinas and rental stands around the lake.
Lake Mead Marina Rentals
The various marinas around Lake Mead provide everything that a water sports enthusiast could ask for. The Lake Meade Marina offers fishing boats, ski boats and other watercraft for rent. The Marina is located on highway 166 next to the Las Vegas Boat Harbor. The marinas also offer boat docking and launch ramp services, a marina store and The Boat House Restaurant and Lodge.
Temple Bar Marina Rentals at Lake Mead
The Temple Bar Marina at Lake Mead is located in northwestern Arizona on Arizona Highway 93 approximately one hour from Las Vegas Nevada. Temple Bar also offers rentals including houseboats up to 59 feet. The other rental offerings include fishing boats, Ski Boats, Pontoon boats and personal watercraft rentals.
Callville Bay Resort & Marina Rentals at Lake Mead
Callville Bay Resort & Marina is located approximately one hour from the Las Vegas Strip. From I15 South to 215 East onto Lake Mead Drive to the Lake Mead National Park and follow the signs. The Callville Bay Resort also has houseboat rentals available up to 75 feet in length. Their other rentals include fishing boats, Ski Boats, Pontoon Boats and Personal Water Craft Rentals.
Cotton Cove Resort & Marina Rentals at Lake Mead
Cotton Cove Resort & Marina is located on Lake Mohave and they are part of the Lake Mead National Recreation Area. The marina is located 25 miles east of Searchlight, Nevada on State Route 164. Like the other rental marinas above Cotton Cove offers houseboat rentals up to 70’, fishing boats, ski boats, deck cruisers, pontoon boats and personal watercraft rentals.
