Lake Havasu, Arizona

The Grand Canyon State

Lake Havasu has been a central hub of activity for tourists for many years. A majority of the visitors to Lake Havasu come from the two states that border Lake Havasu, Arizona and California. Lake Havasu is well known for camping, hiking and a wide variety of water sports such as swimming, boating, jet skiing and fishing. With over 3 million visitors each year the area hosts many activities such as fishing tournaments, the World Jet Ski Races and boat regattas. Spring break at Lake Havasu is also annual activity that brings thousands of college students and other interested parties together for a wild time in the waters, campgrounds and lodges of Lake Havasu.

Lake Havasu Boat Rentals

Many of the visitors that come to Lake Havasu are looking for boat rentals. There are many local boat rental resources available around the Lake area including Lake Havasu City. These rental companies offer Wave Runners, Ski Boats, Pontoon Boats, Paddle Wheelers and House Boats rentals any time of the year in Lake Havasu.

If you are staying at one of the resorts on the lake such as the London Bridge Resort Marina or The Nautical Beachfront Resort it will be easy to find a watercraft that suits your taste. If you were looking for a House Boat there are rentals available in many sizes. Lake Havasu Houseboats offers house boat rentals for a week or longer and depending on the size of the house boat and the length of time you rent it for you can expect to pay from $2200 or up to $7,600 for a 85' Odyssey House Boat with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, central air conditioning, BBQ grill, kitchen, 2 televisions, a DVD player and more!

Lake Havasu Jet Ski Rentals

Jet Ski Rentals are also available at many of the places that rent other types of water craft. Jet Skiing is big in Lake Havasu and the rentals vary with the type and size. At Lake Havasu Jet Ski Rentals in Lake Havasu City, you can rent two wave runners for $250 per day and they also offer ski boats and other watercraft for rent. At Whettrods Ski Rentals you can rent a Yamaha VX series Jet Ski for $90 for 2 hours or $185 for 8 hours of fun. The London Bridge Resort also offers wave runner rentals and boats although we couldn’t find their prices on the website. There are allot more jet ski rentals in the area, however you will have to call around to get prices since most of the websites we looked at before our trip did not have their prices posted.

Lake Havasu Hotels and Resorts

You won’t have any trouble finding a nice resort or hotel to stay at in Lake Havasu. If you want full vacation packages then the resorts are your best bet. Most resorts in Lake Havasu are self contained and have their own watercraft rentals, fine dining and restaurants and vacation tours available. The Hotels in Lake Havasu run the entire range from the Hampton Inn to the Motel 6. If you have an RV you may be interested in the Lake Havasu RV Resorts that have special offers for new guests at $19.95 for three nights.
