There are many bus tours available in the Grand Canyon Area. There are also bus tours that leave out of Las Vegas, Nevada and the surrounding areas. The price for a bus tour is an excellent value considering that children that are 16 years of age and younger will be able to ride free of charge. Grand Canyon Bus Tours

Arizona

The Grand Canyon Bus Tours listed below are offered by Xanterra Parks & Resorts. This is the largest operator of park based enterprises in the United States including the Grand Canyon National Park, Yellowstone, Zion, Death Valley and other National Park properties. These Bus Tours are reasonably priced (Starting at $20) and children under the age of 16 and under are Free when accompanied by a paying adult. The Hermits Rest Bus Tour

For a short narrated tour the Hermits Rest Motor coach Tour is approximately two hours long. This is a narrated bus tour that takes visitors 8 miles up the old wagon road with a couple of stops along the way. Some of the stops are along the west rim where visitors will view the Colorado River and the canyon from several overlooks along the way. The bus tour also stops at Hermits Rest, a native stone building that was built in 1914 by Mary Colter. The price is $25 per Adult and children 16 and under are free if they are accompanied by an adult

The Desert View Bus Tour

The Desert View Bus Tour is longer than the Hermits Rest Bus Tour lasting approximately three hours and forty-five minutes. The trip will cover fifty-two miles and take visitors along the Grand Canyon Rim traveling east. The Colorado River will be seen during this tour along with other scenic views of the Grand Canyon. The magnificent viewpoint of Lipan Point on East Rim and the Desert View Watchtower stop are both memorable destinations. The current price for this tour is $44 per Adult and children 16 and under are free if they are accompanied by an adult.

The Sunset Bus Tour

For a little shorter bus tour the Sunset Tour is approximately 90 minutes and provides a view of the beautiful sunset at Yaki Point or Mojave Point. Both of these locations are panoramic South Rim viewpoints. Visitors will also learn about the historic village area and some of the history of the Grand Canyon. The current price for this bus tour is $20 per Adult and children 16 years of age and younger are free if they are accompanied by an adult.

The Combination Bus Tour

The Combination Bus Tour takes visitors on an incredible Desert View Tour in combination with any other West Rim Tour such as the Hermits Rest or Sunset Bus Tour. The bus tours can be taken in any order or on different days. The cost is $57 for Adults and children 16 and under are free if they are accompanied by an adult.
